The society meets on the third Tuesday of each month except April, August and December.

We endeavour to share with the society information from the past and events in and around Essex that have made Fordham what it is today.

We have guest speakers covering a range of local, national and international subjects or we organise walks and workshops to keep the programme varied.

The AGM is always held in November in the village hall in Fordham. This is an update of the year's events and finances, but it is also a social event with a buffet and refreshments. We have also introduced a picture quiz about Fordham and other historical place of interest which the members enjoyed last year when it was first delivered.

Our  March meeting on the 17th March at 7.30p.m. welcomes Neil Catchpole who will be presenting 'Songs and Tales from the Countryside.'

Many members of FLHS have seen and heard Neil before and he comes with glowing recommendations. We look forward to an entertaining meeting.
