Our February meeting was well attended and we were able to reminisce and recall people and places of old Fordham. We look forward to seeing you on the 20th March at Fordham Village Hall in Church Road Fordham where Pip Wright will be using old newspapers to engage us with tales about crime and punishment focusing on the humerous side of life seen through the eyes of reporters of the day. The meeting starts at 7.30, £3.00 on the door. Refreshments served during the evening.

The society meets on the third Tuesday of each month except April, August and December. Although this year in 2018 we will be organising a weekend exhibition to celebrate the Coming of Age of Fordham History Society on April 21st and 22nd. The AGM is always held in November in the village hall in Fordham.

We have guest speakers covering a range of local, national and international subjects or we organise walks and workshops to keep the programme varied.

We endeavour to share with the society information from the past which has shaped our lives in Fordham today. Events in and around Essex have made Fordham what it is today.
